Breaking point. Everyone has one. IF THIS BOOK WAS $.99 and book 2 was $25 - I would be stalking every available site to get my hands on it ASAP! That should tell all that are reading my review that this book is "all that and a bag of chips"! This author is not to be messed with. Webster's does not have enough nouns to describe her literary skills. Shakespeare wrote "Some are born great, some achieve greatness and some have greatness thrust upon them"! I can emphatically say that, with this book, Ms Wynn was definitely born to achieve greatness through her magnificently creative mind to set fire upon an arena that has grown stagnant with the mediocrity of story lines that present a hunger, but not the solution to eradicating that hunger. Ms. Wynn has brought the tool to scratch the itch that was born out of the universal emptiness of good reads available in today's cache of copy cat writers. Writers who duplicate each other's story lines to the extent that we, as readers , become inundated with the sameness in every book we choose to download or purchase in paperback. Ms. Wynn brings back ORIGINALITY with a mighty bang!You are pulled into this suspense filled romance with a vengenance, which is unduplicated. You will be astounded by her "baby mama drama" like you have never ever experienced before! Chile, you better grab ahold of Superman's cape because you are in for a whirlwind ride if you have the good sense to read this book!! A ride which you will not want to be released from - regardless of the breath taking chapters you will be lovingly introduced to, in order to achieve the endgame, of going on to book 2 to see just how much more drama your heart muscle can be subjected to without experiencing failure! Sooooo glad that book 2 is already out so the suspense won't have to take hold and find root in my anticipatory glands! Release is at immediate hand! Hallelujah!!
With the writing of this book, Ms Wynn has laid out the blueprint on how to be successful in creating a storyline to draw in, capture and suspend time in its readers! Your right side brain cells will be forever thankful to your subjection to its nourishment as pertaining to creativity, rhythm, imagination, and awareness. Your left side brain cells will be clapping for your exercising of dominance, in your singular selectivity, of including Ms. Zena Wynn, in your gene pool of great reads!
Please, please, please do yourself a favor and read this book. Too good to pass up!! I really thought I had read the best but had to reassess that thought having read this book. This author has proven herself to be so much better then the rest!

I love Zena Wynn novels! She can always draw me into the characters. I can't wait for the sequel! I think knowing that there was a sequel before I read it helped to stave off any disappointment. Her website states it should be out in 4/14. Can't wait! Max is so yummy. I hope she writes a book for his brother Nicco too.
Update Darn, I read the excerpt of the sequel at the end and I was NOT expecting this.....but it's haunting me now. It's not what I had wanted nor what I had expected to happen. I'm still going to buy the sequel because now I HAVE to see what happens. I just hope it ends well....
This was a very complicated story that held my attention to the last page. Although I hated that the story wouldn't conclude until book 2, I plan to purchase it because I just have to find out how this cliff hanger will end. Lol! In the meantime I'm definitely team Max! Kudos to the author.
Sometimes I read the reviews and sometimes I don't. This time I read several of them. I am in agreement that the story was good and at times, yes, I wanted to smack the hell out of Cassidy for acting the way that she did and take something and knock it over Phillips head for not having a clue. Max and Cassidy together are very steamy together and I hope in the end that they actually make it. However let me say that I like Zena Wynn as an author and have always enjoyed reading her books. But, I do not understand why for the price of this book there was no conclusion?? Had this book had a cemented conclusion, I probably would have given it 5 stars.
I purchased Beyond the Breaking Point by Zena Wynn without reading the blurb because I have loved all her work and felt this would be as good, or better. When I finally read the blurb the book reminded me of another series I’ve read by Sienna Mynx and seemed to be very complicated so it was placed in the vacation TBR pile. Well, why did I wait so long, this book was FANTASTIC! The triangle between Cassidy, Max and Phillip was complex and intriguing. When you first start the book you feel this will be just another sensual romance, because it jumps into a “scene” immediately. But as the book progresses Ms. Wynn creates emotional ups and downs, complex familial ties and throws in a few snags that were never expected. Love triangles between husband, wives and best friends are not new story lines, but when you add in the family dynamic of parents stuck in the 50’s era mindset of you get married, you stay married regardless of what your spouse does and beliefs that someone soul is dammed because of their actions, this added a dimension to the story that I had not expected. I believe that the morals and attitudes instilled in the three main characters during their upbringings created many of the issues that are present in this story. While I thoroughly enjoyed the story, there is always a part of every story that bothers me. For most of the story I did not like Cassidy! (At the end of the story I still don’t like her.) Her attitude toward Phillip and Max, toward her marriage and toward her career bothered me. I felt that her constant second guessing her value and worth as a woman, which lead to her second guessing her right to be happy with a man made me want to throw her into a counselors chair. Her decision at the end of the story actually enraged me. Since I do not like spoilers, I will not state the decision and therefore cannot explain why I am enraged. All I will say is that I will immediately read the sequel to this book Broken, because it just can’t end like this and because it will be another Zena Wynn book to add to my library. After I read Broken I will hopefully be able to review that book and feel better about Cassidy.
